Ex Libris Releases New Version of Voyager ILS

Library automation company Ex Libris Group this week announced the release of Version 8 of its Voyager integrated library system (ILS), adding several upgrades. The last major version, 7.0, was released in June 2008.

Version 8's new features include a module for making global data changes to bibliographic, authority, and holdings records, and Client AutoUpdate, which allows libraries to get Voyager client upgrades without requiring a reinstall. The ILS has also been more tightly integrated with the company's Primo discovery product, now requiring a single sign-on authentication when used with Voyager.
